Responsibilities
- Prepare local and facility estimates for civil works, installation and commissioning.
- Verify quantities, equipment scope and unit rates and identify omissions and double counting.
- Analyse equipment and material prices using comparable vendor quotations.
- Reconcile contractor estimates with budgets and quantities and price changes and additional work.
- Maintain estimate and price registers and report planned and forecast costs by project stage.
Requirements
- Construction or engineering economics qualification and five years of construction cost estimating.
- Estimating and estimate review experience with a contractor, designer or client team.
- Estimating software and Excel proficiency; knowledge of pricing practices used in Uzbekistan.
- Drawing and specification interpretation, quantity calculations and evidence-based cost negotiation.
Nice to have
- Energy project, imported equipment and multi-currency supply estimating.
Conditions
- Compensation, scope of engagement and payment arrangements are agreed in the contract before work begins.
- Schedule, work location and any travel requirements are agreed individually.
- Contribute to the Amu Darya complex: energy, data centres and useful heat recovery.
- Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Site mobilisation and crew composition follow the project implementation schedule.
